Piero is a first-generation Italian artist based in Fitzroy, Melbourne.
His practice revitalises and celebrates Italian and Calabrian legacies, drawing from Italian graphics, decorative arts, ephemera, and religious iconography.
Rooted in his family’s vineyard in Mildura, shaped by days spent in his Nonna and Nonno’s home, and deepened through formative years living in Italy, Piero’s work explores themes of identity, nostalgia, and belonging. His art bridges past and present, transforming cultural memory into richly layered visual narratives.

Piero’s major achievements include being a finalist in the Paul Guest Arts Prize at Bendigo Art Gallery (2018), completing a Master of Fine Art at RMIT (2021), and most recently being selected as a finalist in the Pro Hart Outback Arts Prize (2024). His works are held in public collections in Australia and abroad and have been featured in numerous group and solo exhibitions.
